About Kim
Kim’s greatest passion is diving. He’s a certified technical and cave diver and will happily seek out places all around the world to explore beneath the water, from the caves of France’s Lot region and Sardinia to wrecks in Croatia and manta rays in the Maldives. Professionally Kim is the owner of Blue Pointers, an IT contracting company based in his hometown of Ghent, Belgium.
About Heather
Having studied languages and worked for big travel companies, Heather’s never happier than when she’s on the road (or preferably rails). Originally from the UK, she has adopted Ghent, Belgium as her new hometown, becoming both a Spotter and co-owner of expat website TheSquare.Gent.
About Kim & Heather
We created Hopping About primarily for us. So that we never have to say ‘I really can’t remember’ when we try to recall some of the places we’ve been to. But with travel and content bringing us together it also seems fitting that we share useful information about our trips so that we might inspire or help others with their travels.
What’s with the hops?
Another thing we both like is beer. To us it’s a ‘healthy obsession’ and whenever we travel we seek out a beer, brewery, shop, whatever it is that makes and/or sells beer.
